Nobody will be living your life for you,
you'll have to do that yourself!

What all of the stations and activities of my life had in common was the interest in what makes personal development work and how I could use that myself to grow.
  • What makes one person take her life into her hands and get up in the morning full of energy and motivation, while another stays in bed "just 5 minutes more", tired and deflated?
  • And why do I belong to the former kind of people one day and to the latter the next day?
What I have learnt is the following:

Nobody will be living your life for you, you'll have to do that yourself!

During my younger years, school and also during university I was looked after and doing well. I did not need to put in a lot of effort to have good grades. And thus, I was usually pretty good, but not very passionate.

1993 I started my time of studying and living abroad with a year in Aberdeen, Scotland. Suddenly, I was in the extremely lucky situation of being able to leave my normal environment behind and define myself completely anew.
Once others saw me in a new light, I noticed that completely new experiences and endeavours were possible for me. That one year in Aberdeen did not only change my world view, but also a lot of my interests. On returning to Berlin for a year, I picked up Spanish, Theatre, philosophy and then went to France for one of my thesises. After that, I went to the US, where after half a year as German assistant lecturer I was given the opportunity to write my final engineeriung thesis in the field of theatre stage technology. In the years after that, I lived in the Northwest of the US, in Canada, Mexico, Guatemala (for 3.5 years) and in Brazil (for 2.5 years). I was searching: searching for passion, for myself and for places where I could feel "accepted".

2003 I came back to Germany and continued searching in the country where "everything had started". I became a training actor, then trainer and could live out my enormous appetite for business skills and personal development.

And then something made -Click- in me.

In all my searching for passion and places where I could make a difference, even with all my proactivity, I mostly saw myself as a "pawn of destiny". As somebody who was given opportunities and obstacles and whose task it then was to use these opportunities one one hand and to get rid of those obstacles on the other. Whenever I did not succeed, it was either the fault of some circumstances, of other people or of destiny herself. I am exaggerating slightly here, but many of you might recognize themselves in this view of the world. It usually is a comfortable position to be in, isn't it? Sometimes, though, it can become extremely exhausting.

I recognized that there was another life for me, one in which I determine myself the results I want to achieve, in which I assume accountability for getting there and then take all the steps necessary to achieve those results.
The only person who I am "accountable to" is the one looking at me from the mirror. And that person is also, coincidentally, the only person able to live my life.

Nowadays, it is my passion to work with people who know that life wants to be lived a who want to bring value into the world while doing so.

Are you one of those people? Then contact me. I am looking forward to it!
